Ipuscua exhibition
Graph for exhibition "Ipuscua, 1000 years. From Ipuscua to Gipuzkoa"
For the exhibition “Ipuscua, 1000 years. From Ipuscua to Gipuzkoa” of the San Telmo Museum, we have responsible for everything related to graphic design: from creating a visual identity that calls attention to designing the exhibition and advertising graph, as well as supervising and controlling all the necessary graphic production.
San Telmo Museoa, Donostia.
Our main idea was to achieve a clear, didactic and attractive visual image that would easily guide the public for the history of the territory of Gipuzkoa, from the first time it was mentioned as “Ipuscua” until its current name. To do this, we work side by side with the museum team, with the historian and curator Iosu Etxzarraga, who had conducted the investigation into the evolution of the denomination and how life and the situation in the territory was like a thousand years ago.
The figure of the artist Martintxo Altzueta, the illustrator in charge of drawing the historical context was also fundamental. His illustrations visually recreate the different eras described in the exhibition, as well as the characters, peoples, objects, situations of everyday life or historical moments, helping spectators to imagine the historical context.
In addition, we have been in charge of the production and installation of everything in the exhibition: pendant canvases, rigid panels in different formats, direct labeling on walls with cut vinyl, informative posters and general signage. We ensure that everything would meet very high standards in visual quality, ease of reading and aesthetics, always thinking about the visitor’s experience and the needs of the museum.
As for the advertising graph we have designed the large exterior signaling panel of the museum, the interior signage, the invitations, the brochure for the room, poster, as well as the advertising supports for the media (paper and digital), bus shelter advertising, banners, etc.
